1930's loveWell it’s no secret that February is the month of love. Whether or not you have a special someone, this is the perfect time to appreciate everyone in your life, from your family to your friends to yourself. As I mentioned earlier, my birthday is this month so this is always a high time of self-love for me. Not to sound ridiculously corny, but I think that there are so many kinds of love besides the strictly romantic kind, so here are some of my favorite classic tunes that reflect that notion. Light a clove candle, watch the snow, and fall in love.

  1. James Taylor — “Carolina in My Mind” (1950′s Striped Hat)
  2. Grand Funk Railroad — “Some Kind of Wonderful” (1950′s Silk Dress)
  3. The Flamingos — “I Only Have Eyes For You” (Vintage Flower Sunglasses)
  4. The Cure — “This Twilight Garden” (1970′s Cosmic Daisy Gown)
  5. Van Morrison — “Brown Eyed Girl” (1940′s Brown Velvet Hat)
  6. Elton John — “Mellow” (1980′s Floral Kimono)
  7. The Rolling Stones — “She Smiled Sweetly” (1970′s Hermes Silk Set)
  8. The Beatles — “Long Long Long” (1960′s Anne Fogarty Maxi Dress)
  9. Led Zeppelin — “The Girl I Love” (1980′s Heart-Shaped Handbag)
  10. Carole King — “Where You Lead” (1980′s Red Satin Bomber)
